where are they now?

The 'they' I'm referring to are bloggers. Bloggers who, for one reason or another, have either decided to stop blogging or just haven't posted in forever.

I've recently spruced up my  L I N K S  list and, in doing so, I've removed the blogs that no longer seem to be going. Rather than just delete and forget about them, I thought I'd make this list - the lost bloggers so to speak - so that I can keep hold of their links in case they ever return. (I do hope so.)
Anykind - Jesse's blog was one of the first I ever got hooked on mostly thanks to her posts about her business and the craft shows she sold at. Also, her thrifting skillz were impressive, she always found the most cool little bits and pieces.

I wanna go to the beach - I always looked forward to Jess' posts appearing in my bloglovin' feed. They were usually kinda off the wall and a little random. Also, her writing is ace.

Handmade Ryan Gosling - so perfect and, as a craft lady, so relevant. I am still sad this came to an end.

Diary of Diva - Becca was always visiting somewhere cool, whether abroad or exploring places in London. Plus she had an awesome series called: 'Bec vs. Pinterest' wherein she'd make stuff inspired by something seen on Pinterest - liked that a lot.

In between Idols - Guttingly I can't even give you a link to Lauren's blog as the internet reckons it no longer exists :( So, you'll have to believe me when I say, it was full of pics of life her in sunny Florida and of her ace tattoos.

Other honerable mentions: Pretty Much Penniless, Yours Truly x, Kit and Nancy

  1. At least Yours Truly properly ended - I find it a bit baffling that someone just stops posting one day and never looks back! At least a goodbye post if not an explanation seems in order...

    1. I agree - I can see how your life could change and you don't have time to blog anymore, and how that might happen by accident and suddenly it's months since you wrote, but I can't imagine just never popping back to post a goodbye!

    2. This is true. But I guess not writing a "goodbye" post just means they could always return...maybe?

  2. Such a good idea for a post. So many blogs I loved fell by the wayside over the last few years, I wish they'd come back xx

    1. Ah thanks Siobhan. Yeah, now that I've been blogging for a few years I do feel kind of sad that the ones from when I first started have stopped. Like little bits of the community just disappearing x

  3. I always wonder what makes them suddenly stopped, did they loose the urge or did something happen?! Same with people that just suddenly stop using social media too.

    1. That's even more sad when they stop social media too. It sounds strange because obviously I've never met but I end up missing their input and comments on stuff.

  4. Aw I always find it so odd when I come across blogs with no recent posts, just abandoned! I wish people would write a good bye or a see you soon post... x

    1. I think "see you soon" posts are an excellent idea. That way there's always the option to return X

  5. I've been blogging and reading long enough that I have noticed some bloggers just stop. This is partly why I like blogging, because there are no rules but sometimes it does feel like you lose touch with a close friend.

    1. It's true, there are no rules and people can come and go as they like. But I totally get what you mean, there is this ssense of losing touch, even if you don't know them, a lot gets shared on blogs.
