my birthday weekend in numbers
5 - birthday flowers (lillies)
2 - chipotle beef rib tacos eaten at HotBox.
30 (ish) - zombies killed playing the house of the dead II at Four Quarters.
148 mins - spent using all of my concentration powers to keep up with the plot of Inherent Vice.
50% rental and 50% owned - the split of a shared ownership property we went to view on Saturday. We actually didn't end up qualifying but we sure as hell learned a lot about the scheme.
20103.92 - Icelandic krona (converted from birthday money :D )
28 years - that's how old I am now. Shiiiiiiiit.

Happy Birthday!!! I totally want to see Inherent Vice. In your opinion is it on par with Boogie Nights or Magnolia?
ReplyDeleteI've not seen boogie nights but I see what you mean about Magnolia, although I though magnolia was probably more coherent!
DeleteAhhh happy birthday!! Sounds like you had a good weekend. We're currently looking into the Shared Ownership thing, its so confusing. Do you have to be eligible before you can view houses? I have so many quesions! x
ReplyDeleteIt is confusing isn't it? From my experience (this being my only experience), we had to sign up with the housing association, then fill out a financial assessment. If that goes through ok, they invite you in to see the properties. If we'd got any further with this one, we'd then had have to pick our top three choices of flats (there and then!) and then the estate agents would have informed us, a few days later, whether we'd got out 1st, 2nd or 3rd choice (or possibly none). Next we'd have to go to the bank and get a mortgage and go through a more indepth financial test. Scary stuff. I'm still not 100% clear on it but I guess when we attempt to look into another one I'll have a better idea of what's going on! x
DeleteBelated happy birthday! xx
ReplyDeletethank you! X
DeleteThose shared ownership's sound so confusing from what i've read about them - do you then have to pay rent & a mortgage at the same time? I'm so out of the loop of British house buying these days! Happy belated birthday!
ReplyDeletethey are! yes, a mortgage and rent, and that's the easy bit!
DeleteHappy birthday! When are you off to Iceland? It's such a great country, so beautiful - have fun!
ReplyDeleteBeginning of March, I cannot wait :)
